Dr. Dre Confirms Release Date For Eminem’s ‘Revival’

Christmas will come early this year thanks to Marshall Mathers.

After a slight delay, Eminem’s upcoming album Revival is set to drop Dec. 15. The follow-up to The Marshall Mathers LP 2 was rumored to drop on Nov. 21 that day came and went with no word from Shady Records. Then yesterday (Nov. 28), Dr. Dre tweeted out a video starring the now-infamous “doctor” who confirms the release date of Eminem’s ninth studio album.

Earlier this month, Eminem shocked the masses with the alleged first single off Revival called “Walk On Water” featuring Beyoncé. Although it debuted at the #14 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Em’s first collaboration with the Lemonade singer didn’t sit well with fans who were expecting something else after dropping “The Storm” freestyle at the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards in October.

As DJ Booth points out, “Walk On Water” is no longer being promoted as the lead single from Revival. However, Eminem did confirm Rick Rubin has been confirmed as a producer of at least four songs on the album. 2 Chainz is also expected to appear on the LP.
