T.I. salutes his fallen ATL brethren with Team Hennessy at Cafe Iguanas in Pembroke Pines, FL.
During his recent visit to South Florida, T.I. managed to inspire millennials to exercise their right to vote, and escape a run-in with the police. However, before any of that went down, the Kang put on a memorable show and paid homage to the late Shawty Lo at Cafe Iguanas in Pembroke Pines. With 99 JAMZ’ DJ Nasty at the DJ Booth, the night began with brief sets from a handful of local artists before Zoey Dollaz arrived.
Unlike their exclusive tasting of Hennessy Paradis Impérial in South Beach a few weeks back, Team Hennessy kept the bottles of their “very special” cognac flowing all around Cafe Iguanas while the Freebandz emcee hit the stage along with his squad including Cheeks Bossman and “A1” rapper Derrick Milano to perform tracks off his latest mixtape October. There were a few special guests lurking in the depths of VIP like Trick Daddy, rapper Prospectt, and Ball Greezy. In the early hours of the morning, all eyes turned to the center of the room once T.I. made his entrance.
Eager fans went crazy once he started making his way towards the stage. After opening with “Top Back,” Tip spent the rest of his time blessing the crowd with more classic joints like “Motivation” and “ASAP.” He couldn’t let the night end without paying homage to his fallen ATL brethren. T.I. led the people in a jam session of hits by the late Doe Boy, Bankroll Fresh, and Shawty Lo. The entire room sang along to each track as T.I. sipped his drink in honor of all three deceased rappers.
